Your account and sign-in
Your email, password, and profile photo are handled through your secure sign-in. You change them from your account menu, not from the settings page.
On the settings page you can still update your name, phone number, and location, which help us show you relevant information.
- Click your profile icon in the top right corner.
- Choose Manage account to update your email, password, or profile photo.
- To change your name, phone, or location, go to /settings and edit the Personal Information and Location cards, then click Save.
Forgot your password? Sign out, then use the "Forgot password" link on the sign-in screen to reset it by email.
Sign out
You can sign out from any device at any time.
- Click your profile icon in the top right corner.
- Choose Sign out.
On a shared or public computer, always sign out when you are done.
Notification preferences
Open /settings and go to the Preferences tab to choose which updates you receive. Each switch saves on its own as soon as you flip it.
- Study reminders: daily nudges to keep your streak going.
- Progress updates: a weekly summary of your learning.
- New content alerts: a heads up when new study materials are added.
- Push notifications: alerts on your device even when you are not on the site.
If the push notifications switch shows "Blocked", you turned notifications off for the site in your browser. Allow them again in your browser settings, then reload the page. If it shows "Not supported", try a recent version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari, or install the app to your home screen.
Study language and voice
Set your study text language and read-aloud voice from the Preferences tab on /settings.
For more detailed voice controls, including speech speed, voice style, microphone access, and a test button, open /settings/voice.
- Preferred Language: choose from 98 text translation languages. Each option is marked Text only or Text + read aloud; 56 support read-aloud. Your plan controls access to paid primary-language options. The second-language selection lets you try bilingual study text.
- Read Aloud Voice: choose a male or female voice for text-to-speech.
- Speech Speed: on /settings/voice, slide from slower to faster. Device voice choices depend on your browser. Translate To offers the full text language list.
- Microphone Access: grant permission once so voice quizzes can hear you.
On /settings/voice you can press Test to hear how questions will sound before you start a voice quiz.
Install the app on your phone
Red Seal Hub can be added to your home screen so it opens like a normal app, loads faster, and works offline. This is called installing the app, or "Add to Home Screen".
- On iPhone or iPad, open Red Seal Hub in Safari, tap the Share button, then tap Add to Home Screen.
- On Android, open Red Seal Hub in Chrome, tap the menu, then tap Install app or Add to Home Screen.
- Open the app from your home screen icon and sign in once.
Visit /settings/pwa to check whether the app is installed, see your connection status, and review how much storage it is using on your device.
