Browse and search the job board
The job board lists skilled trades openings across Canada, from apprenticeship roles to journeyperson and senior positions. You do not need to be certified to browse or apply, plenty of postings are for apprentices and early-career workers.
You can search and filter the board two ways: the main board at /jobs and the in-app browse view at /jobs/browse, which adds a filter sidebar.
- Go to /jobs/browse to open the job board.
- Type a job title, keyword, or trade into the search box.
- Open the Filters panel to narrow by trade, province, city, remote work, job type, experience level, and industry sector.
- If you are looking at moving to Canada, use the LMIA Support and Sponsorship Available filters to show only employers who can help.
- Click any job card to open the full posting.
Filters update the page as you set them, and they stay in the web address. You can bookmark a filtered search or share the link to come back to the same results later.
Apply for a job
Applying uses the profile and resume you have already built, so you do not start from scratch each time. Open a job from the board to see the full description, pay range, location, job type, and experience level, then apply right from that page.
- Open a job posting and review the details and requirements.
- Click Apply Now.
- Add a short cover letter telling the employer why you are a good fit (optional but recommended).
- Add a link to your resume if the application asks for one.
- Click Submit Application.
Keep your profile and resume up to date before you apply. A complete profile makes your applications stronger and saves you time on every job.
Track your applications
Every job you apply to shows up in My Applications at /jobs/applications. The page gives you a running count of total applications, how many are pending review, interviews, and offers.
Each application shows where it stands along a simple timeline: Submitted, Under Review, Interview Scheduled, Offer Extended, and Hired. If an employer passes or you withdraw, the application is marked closed.
- Go to /jobs/applications.
- Use the search box to find an application by job title or company.
- Filter by status to see only your interviews, offers, or pending applications.
- Click View Job to revisit the posting, or open your attached resume.
Set up job alerts
Job alerts notify you when new postings match what you are looking for, so you do not have to keep checking the board. Set them up at /jobs/alerts.
You control how often you hear from us and through which channel.
- Go to /jobs/alerts.
- Choose how often you want alerts: instant as jobs are posted, a daily digest, or a weekly summary.
- Turn email alerts and push notifications on or off.
- Click Save Preferences.
Alerts use the same job matching criteria (trades, locations, job types, and pay range) that you set on the Auto-Apply page, so set those once and both alerts and matches stay in sync.
Auto-Apply (let Red do the legwork)
Auto-Apply is an optional helper that finds jobs matching your criteria and lines them up for you. You can turn it on at /jobs/auto-apply, and it is off by default.
You tell it which trades, locations, job types, and pay range you want, then choose how it works. In Review mode (recommended) matching jobs go into a queue for you to approve or skip before anything is sent. In Instant mode applications are submitted automatically. You can set a daily limit and a minimum match score so it only acts on strong fits.
You can also pick a default resume and save a cover letter template, with placeholders for the job title and company that get filled in for each application.
If you are not sure, start in Review mode with a low daily limit. You stay in control and see exactly which jobs it suggests before any application goes out.
Coming soon: let good employers find youComing soon
Soon you will be able to turn your study activity into a candidate profile that employers can find, without lifting a finger. Your strong areas, exam readiness, and study consistency build the profile for you as you practice, so there is no resume to keep updating.
This is private by default. Nothing is shared until you choose to switch it on, and even then employers only see an anonymous version. Your name, email, phone, and current employer stay hidden until you decide to respond to a company that reaches out.
- Off until you opt in, and you can hide your profile again at any time
- Employers see your trade, year, city, readiness, and verified strengths, not who you are
- Preview exactly what an employer would see before you turn it on
- Pause it during exam crunch so you are not getting messages while you study
You stay in control the whole way. An interested employer can only see your contact details after you reply and choose to share them.
Coming soon: smarter matching and a stronger resumeComing soon
We are building job matching that looks at where you actually are in your trade, the skills you have proven through practice, and your location, so the jobs that come to you are a real fit rather than a long list to sort through.
A built-in resume helper will also tidy up your wording, fix typos, and highlight your real experience in plain professional language. It will never invent skills, certifications, or dates. It only makes the true story of your work read better.
Keep practicing and keep your profile current. The more the platform knows about your real strengths, the better the matches and the stronger your resume looks.
